TETON VALLEY DAYS/OCTOBER 7 – 10, 2026

Since 2009 Blixt & Co. has offered premier traditional British-style  driven pheasant and partridge shooting in the majestic American  West.

The AASS is pleased and proud to partner with Blixt  in offering our first shoot outside of the United Kingdom.

THE ITINERARY

WEDNESDAY 7 OCTOBER

Arrive in the Teton Valley of Idaho. We recommend flying into Idaho Falls but Jackson Hole, Wyoming, is fine as well. There is also a private FBO in Driggs, Idaho, about 20 minutes from the lodge. Wherever you land, you will be picked up upon arrival and brought to Blixt’s comfortable, modern guest houses near the (comfortable, modern) lodge. If you wish, tune up with a few rounds of simulated-driven clays.

In shooting, accommodations and service, stinting is frowned upon at Blixt. And when it comes to dining, the talented chef and kitchen crew produce everything from fresh butters and yogurts to rustic breads and cereals. They change the menu daily and pride themselves on combining local produce and meats in a cuisine that offers a touch of comfort food with a generous helping of French technique.

In the field, the dress code is classic sporting attire (no blaze orange, jeans, camo or sneakers, please; but British-style breeks & wellies, although welcome, are not required). For cocktails and dinner, just as in England, we are ‘dressy casual.’ AASS members will bring their regalia for Friday evening.

THURSDAY & FRIDAY
8-9 OCTOBER

These are our field days. Depending upon the weather, we expect to shoot five drives each day—three in the morning, with a break for the traditional ‘elevenses,’ and two more after lunch. We will stand eight or nine Guns. Note that the bag is unlimited. While a skilled team may take 500 or more birds, the average bag throughout the 2025 season was 387 pheasant and red-leg partridge per day.

We will shoot several properties within 20 to 45 minutes of the lodge, including Ashton and Hestenbeck. The drives offer a challenging and scenic mix of rolling hills, aspen groves and deep canyons; and we will experience true driven birds, presented by a staff that includes six English gamekeepers.

On Friday evening, with all due pomp & ceremony, we will invest new members (if any!) into the Anglo American Shooting Society, and—should any member have proven so deserving—once again award the Don Foster Cup. As always, the dress code will be AASS regalia; guests who are not members are asked to wear jacket & tie or elegant dress/suit.

FRIDAY 10 OCTOBER

Subject to your departure times, we will provide transport to Idaho Falls, Jackson Hole or the FBO for your onward travels.
